My first finish for February. With a little luck (and a bit of work) there should be 2 more before the month is over.
This is a baby quilt or wall hanging – about 30″ X 40″. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet but I do love the colors. Quilting by Missouri Star Quilt Company. I love the meandering with occasional flowers to go with the flowered fabric in the quilt.

I have all blocks finished for the Project of Doom but I am having a puckering problem as I quilt it. So for now I’m going to let it, and me, have a bit of a rest and then I’ll go back and tackle it. Meanwhile I have another quilt back from Missouri Star that I need to bind.
My priorities have changed a bit. I have two great nieces who are expecting baby boys in a few months. One, whose baby is due in June, has asked for a quilt.
Next steps/quilts:
- Bind 2nd quilt returned by MSQC.
- Finish PoD.
- Make embroidered blocks for baby quilt.
- Iron interfacing on t-shirts for t-shirt quilt. (the shirts have been “rough cut” around the patterns that will be used. She has asked for a twin sized quilt, but sent so many t-shirts and jerseys that there is enough material to make a queen or maybe king size. Once I have everything interfaced and the blocks cut to size, I’ll go to the design and arrange them and decide which ones to use. I may end up making a twin sized quilt for her dorm room and a wall hanging or lap quilt. I’ve also fiddled with the idea of making it reversible but that would be a really heavy quilt and she’s going to college near the coast. Stay tuned.
- Start making blocks for Land Before Time quilt for Garrick.
