That’s me!  And the baby hasn’t even been born yet. But I didn’t think this was ever going to happen so I think I have a right to be extremely excited and a little obnoxious!

He’s due January 21, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he didn’t show up a little earlier. I’d be fine with that – as long as it’s not too early. I’m really forward to meeting our Li’l Dude. He has hit the jackpot in the Mom and Dad department, and he will definitely get plenty of unconditional love from his Grandpop, Nana and Grandma. He’s the only grandbaby on both sides!

Tim (my hubby) and I were in a little diner last week and the waitress came over to take our order. But before she asked what we wanted, she said, “Here’s your daily dose of cuteness” as she pulled out pics of her grandson. I can totally see me walking up to strangers and doing the same thing.

I have been told by my daughter-in-law that I can’t make but one quilt for the babe, so I chose to make a Harry Potter bookcase quilt – designed by Jennifer Ofenstein at Fandom In Stitches. This will be a little wall-hanging for his room. I finished the top and my friend Rainey made the incredibly generous offer to custom quilt it for me. Tim and I took it to her  a week ago and told her there was no rush and she had free-reign on however she wanted to quilt it.  I know it is in good hands!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I have still been a bit busy making baby stuff.  I made a 2-zipper wet bag to carry in the diaper bag and put soiled diapers and wipes in when out and about with the babe. I’ve made 5 burp pads, 6 drool bibs, 2 infant to toddler bibs and 23 flannel wipes – so far.

I have so many ideas swirling around in my brain but I know I need to calm down a bit. But how does a Nana do that? I’ll keep you posted on whether or not this Nana can.
